Senior Associate landscape Architect– Beijing, Hong Kong Primary objective of the position _ The position requires a creative leader within the industry and the company. He/she is responsible for efficiently managing projects to ensure they meet both the financial and design requirements of HASSELL.

Principal Interior Designer -Shanghai Primary objective of the position The position requires a leader within the industry and the company. Principal Architect - Shanghai
Primary Objective of the Position Part of the senior management team for the firm’s practice in China and responsible for efficiently managing the Architectural discipline (people, projects, clients) to ensure that both the financial and design requirements of HASSELL are being met. It is an essential requirement that the person is able to understand, guide and deliver quality design service in China. The role will require you to display the following key attributes: — Exceptional leadership skills — Outstanding communicator and listener — Capacity to coach and mentor — Creative Design talent and commitment to effective teamwork — Visionary – both in terms of business development and ability to be intuitive — Sound financial management — Strategic thinking
Reporting and Liaison: — Report to Managing Director and Principal; and — Coordination/liaison with Discipline Principals, Senior Design Team, Operations Manager and Business Development team in Shanghai, Beijing and HK studios.
PRIMARY DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Please note that periodically you may be asked to undertake activities outside of those listed below. Discipline Management — Undertake discipline overview in terms of projects, resources and finance. — Manage the delivery of projects in terms of client relationship management, financial performance overview, resourcing review — Responsible for overview of staff resources, and assist with new staff recruitment / appointments — Lead architectural design competitions in China — Build Hong Kong support team to be financially sustainable (i.e. >15% profit)
Business Development — Assist with the development of market awareness of HASSELL and the various discipline services — Increase activity beyond commercial residential sectors but also expand profile in other sectors including Aviator / Rail / Health / Sport — Participate with Director/ Managing Principal and Marketing team in the identification, pursuit and development of projects — Actively identify and pursue opportunities with other HASSELL disciplines and geographic locations — Evaluation of invitations for Proposals, Attendance at new client meetings and preparation of fee proposals (with support and input from Senior Team and BD Team). Note: all fees to be reviewed by Principal.
Team Development — Assist with the direction and growth of the HASSELL China studios — Encourage the development of a strong design culture — Encourage a collaborative team environment — Act as mentor to Interiors staff including assisting Director/ Managing Principal in decision making concerning selection, training — Review the performance and remuneration of team members, together with input from Principals or other senior team members — Report to Managing Director and Principal on activities and initiatives of the group.
