Project Manager 項(xiàng)目經(jīng)理 – (Shanghai) The Project Manager will be responsible for: · Implementing one or more workplace projects through the management of project teams. · Negotiating fees and contracts for projects, managing, scheduling, budgeting and staffing, project set-up with sub-consultants, vendors and contractors. · Reviewing project for conformance to contract. · Tracking financial performance of project. The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered: · 10+ years of successful project experience. · Hold a degree in architecture design. · Good leadership capability and can work as a team. · Professional license or certification may or be required. · Good communication skills in both Mandarin & English. · Knowledge of building codes and structures.
Project Architect 項(xiàng)目建筑師 – (Shanghai) Manages, organizes and coordinates project teams and team assignments to complete architectural projects, responsible for ensuring that production of construction documents are in concert with design intent, responsible for project schedules and budgets. Resolves complex technical/design issues and provides guidance to team. Coordinates activity and communication between project team and other disciplines. Primary project types should include: commercial, mixed-use / retail and higher education. Full knowledge of architectural principles / practices. The Project Architect will be responsible for: · Organizing and managing project teams and team assignments · Coordination with LDI and client during all phases to ensure production of contract documents are aligned with design intent · Full coordination between teams and projects · Managing project timelines and schedules · Resolution of complex technical and design issues as they arise The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered: · At least 12-15 years professional experience. · A licensed Architect registered either by Chinese or overseas government will be an advantage. · Knowledge of Chinese building codes, standards and structures · Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English, and the ability to work well with a team · Computer skills should include AutoCad, Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp. 3DMax and Revit is a plus. · Strong leadership abilities and the ability to manage teams and projects · Strong organizational skills Please include work samples along with your resume and cover letter.
Senior Designer 資深設(shè)計(jì)師 – (Shanghai) The Senior Designer will work in the architecture studio on large, high end and custom design projects, providing design leadership by giving clients an excellent service both on design and delivery, continually provide design solutions, improving design quality, represent Gensler architecture design to clients and the design community, mentoring designers in their careers and working profitably for the firm.
The Senior Designer will be responsible for: · Interaction with clients, meetings and presentations. · Developing Programming, consulting, strategic planning, conceptual designs, space planning, presentations, design development, and production. · Leading and monitoring architectural design team. · Developing and be responsible for projects budgets. · Coordinating with technical team. · Participating in business development effort. The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered: · 12+ years professional experience including proven track record of leading the design of large-scale projects such as, corporate headquarters, campus planning or mixed-use projects. · BArch/MArch or foreign equivalent, Architectural licensed · Must understand trends in large, shell / core architectural design · Possess a high level of visual and verbal communication skills and a high level of freehand and rendering skills. · Have the ability to mentor team members, offer guidance and leadership. · Be capable of using 2D/3D software, including AutoCAD, 3D Studio MAX, Sketchup, PhotoShop, InDesign and Illustrator , and PowerPoint . · REVIT is a plus. · Knowledge of the total project process including fee and team management, schedules and budgets. · Good communication skills in both Mandarin & English. The Intermediate Designer will be responsible for: · Interaction with clients, meetings and presentations. · Working with Senior Designer /Design Director on conceptual designs, space planning, presentations, design development, and production. · Monitoring junior designers when necessary. · Coordination with technical team. · Participation in business development effort. Contracts Manager - China法務(wù)合同管理– (Shanghai) The Contracts Manager is responsible for contract review, ongoing project support for contractual issues and negotiations. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for: · Providing contract support for offices within China, which presently include Shanghai and Beijing and the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau. · Communicating contract policies/procedures to project teams. · Reviewing requests for proposals and proposed contract terms and conditions for consistency with contract policies/procedures. · Supporting contract negotiation as needed. · Preparing form documents and project correspondence. · Developing and maintaining basic contract templates and standard language. · Assisting the Regional Counsel and project teams to prepare project documentation related to potential or actual legal issues. · Liaising with the Regional Counsel and outside legal counsel as needed for legal research and claims support. · Assisting issuance and renewal of local practice licenses/registrations. · Assisting the Regional Counsel to prepare and present education materials related to contracts and other legal topics. The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered: · At least 5-8 years of experience in a related field (e.g., design/construction, contracts management, procurement. · Working knowledge of professional service agreements. · Good command of both written/oral English and Chinese. · Ability to draft contractual instruments in accordance with prescribed templates or guidelines. · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · Ability to handle multiple competing priorities. · Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook email.

Technical Director 技術(shù)總監(jiān) – (Shanghai) Gensler is seeking a management-level Technical Director for its office in Shanghai. The Technical Director should be an experienced senior architect with extensive experience in the technical aspects of design solutions on large-scale, programmatically complex private and public projects, especially high-rise buildings. The Technical Director will be responsible for: · The Technical Director will be a unique individual, equipped with the background and skills to assist the firm with their goal of producing projects of the highest technical caliber, operating with direct project involvement, and involved with mentoring and motivational leadership. · The Technical Director will be the leader in the Shanghai office responsible for technology advocacy and should have a sophisticated understanding of the relationship between architectural design and building technology, as well as a conviction that it something doesn’t work technically, then it can’t work architecturally. The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications to be considered: · Candidates should have extensive experience with design and delivery of large-scale, programmatically complex projects in the corporate, commercial, and institutional market sectors, especially high-rise buildings. · Candidates should be articulate and have the ability to work and lead effectively in a team environment. Gensler also appreciates a great attitude, flexibility, and the willingness to take on responsibility. · The position requires a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in architecture. In addition, it requires at least 15 to 18 years of architectural experience. · Candidates should be licensed architects. In addition, since Gensler places a high priority on sustainable design, LEED professional accreditation is preferred. · Candidates should be available to travel within and outside the USA and the People’s Republic of China. Fluency or proficiency in languages in addition to English is particularly advantageous. Specific experience should include: · Experience working as a collaborator and leader within a multi-disciplinary team environment teaching and inspiring others to strive for technical excellence. · A portfolio demonstrating completed, relevant projects for which the candidate was directly responsible for the technical aspects of design solutions. Relevant projects include architectural projects for clients in the airports and transit, civic and community, corporate, commercial, education, and mixed-use sectors. · A track record of developing forward-looking and innovative approaches to the technology of architecture, including developmental technologies such as BIM. · Experience with management of the project design and delivery process, including interaction with consultants and contractors. · Extensive knowledge of building materials and construction technology, good knowledge of the curtain wall framing, its material and installation. · Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and contracting procedures, as well as contractual and liability issues. · Ability to motivate staff through leadership and expertise. · A commitment to the principles of sustainable design and experience integrating them on specific projects. · Experience with 2-D and 3-D design and illustration, including proficiency with freehand drawing in a variety of media. Familiarity with AutoCAD, 3D MAX (or equivalent), Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator · Experience with BIM and Revit.
